This super bright cocktail bar and “wine garden” opened on Petworth’s main drag in June, giving co-owners Anna Bran Leis (Taqueria del Barrio) and Carlie Steiner (Himitsu) a place to send customers during long waits at their bustling restaurants next-door and across the street. There’s a wide range of wines, including a high-low selection of bubbles and several chilled reds. Dos Mamis is a smart summer stop with frozen beverages — the Cu-cumber Here Often has gin, fino sherry, salted watermelon, lime, and cucumber — and a lights-out sherry soft serve.
